with ethnic sounds, dance music with opera….. Noiret musical preparation comes from a variety of backgrounds and experiences ranging from rock to soul, from dance to world music. This has given him the inventive drive required to create new sounds that are easy listening yet sophisticated.
The unusual make-up of the band used by Noiret in the recording studio as well live on stage demonstrates an original and courageous departure in the music business; the introduction of melodic percussion instruments such as the vibraphone and marimba which up until now have never been considered fundamental for making pop music. A very personalised musical arrangement, created expressly for them, amalgamated with the drums and Noiret’s haunting voice give vitality and energy as well as originality to the performance.
