Losing
butterflies the new album of Noiret & The Flowers
”Losing butterflies” is the first and new album be released
by Noiret & The Flowers.
It is composed, arranged and produced by Noiret himself . The
unique format used to record it features Noiret on vibraphone
and vocals, backing singers, a bass marimba, and a treble
marimba as well as a variety of drums and percussion
instruments. The musicians taking part in the recorded
performance were Davide Merlino, Matteo Maffi , Matteo Erigoni
and Riccardo Chiaberta with Eliana Gaglione and Maria Olivero on
vocals. One of the three single’s tracks, entitled “Losing
butterflies” provides the title of the entire album which begins
with this track as first one and ends with the open-air version
of it as last track. . As an other songs of the album the
open-air version was recorded entirely in the garden of Noiret’s
house by Vinicio Crivelletto, and it contains a number of
‘natural’ background noises recorded during the session. The
rest of the album was recorded by Giorgio Andreoli in his studio
and in a theatre mixed by himself and by Daniele Grasso at “The
Cave” Studios in Catania. The album was mastered by Walter
Coelho at Masterpiece studio in London.
The soft, seductive sounds, the tuneful melodies and the catchy
songs it contains enchant the listener. This singular take on
acoustic pop music and the new age feel of the vocals form the
basis of the artist’s soon-to-be released album which will
hypnotise the listener with its strong emotional impact. This
new musical departure may, at first, seem unusual and hard to
classify as belonging to any particular genre, but the more you
listen, the more you will be swept away by a type of music that
has its own new and very personal identity.
